Create Your Own Message Board
On AnyBoard.NET

AnyBoard.Net is offering a free service to host your message board, using the AnyBoard
system from Netbula. The whole site (except this and the rules page) is automatically generated by the AnyBoard program.

How the site is organized

AnyBoard Forums are organized in categories and sub categories in a tree structure. The message boards are the leaves of the tree. If a category is very generic, then you may have to create a board at a more specific sub category of it, otherwise, you may choose to create a board at the current category or a sub category.

For example, there is a top level category Computer & Internet, and it has sub categories such as Programming. If your board about computers in general, then you can create a board right in Computer & Internet, however, if your board is about C++ programming, then you should create a board under Programming.

If you feel that your topic needs a new category or sub category, please post your request at the suggestion forum, and our support staff will create the new category at the right place.

Instructions for creating your message board
Please read carefully

  1. Browse and go to the right category, for example, to discuss a NBA team, go the page for Sports=>Basketball.
  2. If your category is not listed, go the suggestion board to make a suggestion. It is better to have the right category first, as it takes manual work to move your board later.
  3. Click the create new forum link on the category's front page. Again, make sure you are in the right category, otherwise, the board will be created at the wrong place. The form for creating new board shows up.
  4. Enter the login information for master admin, who has the right to create message boards.
    The master admin name is anyboard, password: expert .
    Leave the licence key entry empty.
  5. Enter information for the new message board to be created. You must choose a directory name for the new board, such as bulls. The directory name must not contain spaces or other special characters, such as /, make the directory name short and descriptive. You need also choose a name for the new board, such as Chicago Bulls, you can change the name later on the admin panel.
  6. Enter the information for the administrator of the new board. You MUST provide a valid email address, otherwise you will not be able to receive the password for the new board. Please keep good record of the password received.
  7. Select a forum style.(you can change it later, or make your own style) 
  8. Submit the form. Anyboard will create the new board, and shows the front page for the new board. 
  9. Meanwhile, an email is sent to you with the admin password for the newly created board, and instructions on how to logon the admin panel.
  10. You use the password to login and configure the board. 
  11. Email support@anyboard.net in case of difficulty.
