<!--StartFragment-->The following information comes from court records that I
attained when I was at the federal court house in Chicago for the
beginning of the Chung Moo trial. This information can be found
at the clerks office at the federal court house. I have left out the
names of some of the federal witnesses to protect there privacy.
The Government intends to offer, through a witness by the name
of John Doe, testimony that the Defendant Kim, once said that
"Zekman was going to have an accident or a light touch"
This testimony as well as other testimony relating to the
Defendant Sante Furio (Zekman was going to be driven off the
road")
The co-defendant, Sante Furio, allegedly told a witness, that the
IRS was watching the Villa Park school and that they should leave
or he (Furio) was going to "kill them".
the Government proffers that the Defendant White allegedly
threatened any person who was thinking of cooperating with Pam
Zekman and predicted "that such person would not be around
once he found out"; he allegedly also stated that "Zekman is going
to end up dead and that her brains will be turned to mush"
The Defendant Gallo allegedly grabbed a witness by the throat
and told the witness that if he caused an IRS audit, he would be in
trouble.
Chung Moo instructor Michael Monyak told former Chung Moo
student Kurt Chappel that "he would kill anyone who tried to
interfere with the schools, and that Monyak would die for Kim if
anyone came between him and Kim. (Personal Note on June 14,
1991 several former students and myself were sued by the owners
of the Houston Chung Moo Doe School. The Schools were
claiming libel and slander and were seeking a temporary
restraining order. On July 8. 1991 Judge Ken Harrison denied that
order and granted our request for a restraining order against the
School's for harassment and threats of violence. After the Court
hearing Kurt Chapple escorted me to the Houston airport after I
got on the plane Kurt was attacked at the airport while calling his
wife.
The Government proffers that there was a "hit list" that included
potential witnesses on it.
