When British people swear it doesn't sound bad at all. It sounds refined and witty. It sounds 'bad' in an American accent.  I can watch a British movie w/ all sorts of choice words, and it doesn't bug me one bit.  I however have a huge double standard in that I can't watch an American made movie with swearing. It grinds my nerves then.

I swear like a pirate. I have no desire to change. I watch it around the kids, and I don't swear in 'polite' society....but I love me a good naughty word now and again.  There I am outed. I would swear all the time, if I knew people wouldn't be so completely offended by it.

Maybe I ought to swear using a British Accent. What say ye Steph?  lol
