This request was very likely made because things were discussed by a friend of the accused and could be picked up and have a bearing on the trial.
I despise deleted messages, despise them! They are never done here except at the request of the original poster and when I had to delete a whole ton of things when that happened some time back, I also asked if the other posters in the threads gave the deletion their support. If this was a question of something legal possibly being compromised, I trust Kim to have made the helpful decision.
